RISE brings to life the health and environmental benefits of using specialty pesticide and fertilizer products by appealing to the hearts and minds of legislators, regulators, professional applicators and consumers.
Headquartered in Washington, D.C., we engage on issues at the local, state, and federal levels of government and with media.

What does RISE do?
We protect our member’s ability to provide specialty products and their benefits by reducing legislative, regulatory, and legal challenges in priority locations. We identify critical issues and geographies that, if handled correctly, can reduce the risk of adverse legislation or regulation impacting product availability and application. Our goal is to increase positive conversations and perceptions about the benefits of specialty pesticide and fertilizer products to promote sound policy and positive public perception.
We engage on issues about the use and regulation of specialty pesticides and fertilizers through media outreach, policymaker- and consumer-focused messaging, and other ways that highlight the benefits of the products our members provide.
Our strategies and tactics include:
- Strategic, member-engaged issue management
- Message development, testing, and training
- National and local media outreach and engagement
- Grassroots network development and interaction
- Local events to develop local advocates
- Media and issues monitoring
- Positioning RISE as a resource and partner in the conversation with regulators and policymakers
