Feb 5, 2014 RISE Holds Annual Golf Industry Issues Breakfast
RISE (Responsible Industry for a Sound Environment) held its annual Industry Issues Breakfast for members and golf superintendents at the Golf Industry Show on Feb. 5.
Aaron Hobbs, RISE president, and Allison Donaghy, RISE communications coordinator, welcomed some 200 attendees to discuss priority issues impacting the golf industry and ways members can stand up, get engaged and make a difference.
“The Industry Issues Breakfast continues to be a great way for us to connect with our members and their customers to discuss the industry issues we are working on right now,” said Hobbs. “We’re preparing attendees for what they can expect in 2014 and how they can become engaged through our grassroots network.”
“Accessing our talking points and other resources is now easier than ever with our new grassroots portal at www.pestfacts.org/grassroots,” said Donaghy, who spoke about new member resources during the event.
“As always, we’d like to thank the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America and the National Golf Course Owners Association for inviting us to the show, and giving us this great opportunity to reach out to those in the golf industry and work more closely with our members,” said Hobbs.
RISE is the national association representing the manufacturers, formulators, distributors and other industry leaders involved with pesticide products used in turf, ornamental, pest control, aquatic and terrestrial vegetation and other non-food/fiber applications.
